Fair Food is growing in West Auckland and one of the new organisations we have teamed up with, and doing great work in New Lynn is  Generation Ignite:

The Generation Ignite Food Bank is an initiative that was birthed out of the need recognised with at-risk youth and their families in the Whau Community (Avondale, New Lynn, Kelston, Green Bay, New Windsor and Blockhouse Bay).

Food parcels are packed with the help of volunteers, and are distributed from the New Lynn Community Centre every Friday from 12:30pm – 3pm (or until all the parcels are gone). A free lunch is also available to the community.
These food parcels contain all the ingredients and items necessary plus the how-to recipe to make a wholesome nutritious meal, as well as additional essentials requested like hygiene products.
